1 Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

• Full name and email address
• Profile photo (optional)
• Apple ID (if you use Sign in with Apple)

1.2 Health & Body Data

• Age, gender, height, weight, and goal weight
• Fitness goal, activity level, and diet preferences
• Food allergies and dietary restrictions
• Daily calorie and macro targets (calculated from your profile)

1.3 Usage Data (What You Log)

• Meal entries: food items, portions, calories, macros
• Workout sessions: type, duration, intensity, calories burned
• Water intake logs
• Weight check-ins and body measurements
• Sleep duration and quality

1.4 AI Interaction Data

• Messages sent to Ria (AI Health Coach) — stored in your account for conversation history
• Food photos submitted via SNAP feature — sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis and not stored on our servers permanently

1.5 Device & Technical Data

• Device type, iOS version, app version
• Push notification token (FCM)
• Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
• Anonymous usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics)

3 Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with these trusted service providers:

Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase for authentication, data storage (Firestore), file storage, analytics, and crash reporting. Data is processed under Google's Firebase Terms of Service.

Anthropic (Claude API)

Food photos and chat messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI. Anthropic's Privacy Policy governs their handling of this data. We do not send your name or identifying information alongside AI requests.

Apple HealthKit

HealthKit data stays on your device and is synced only with explicit permission. We never share HealthKit data with third parties or use it for advertising.

4 Apple HealthKit

We request permission to:

• Read: Steps, sleep analysis, body weight, workouts
• Write: Nutrition (calories, protein, carbs, fats), water intake, body weight

You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health.

5 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore) with the following protections:

• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
• Firestore security rules ensure you can only access your own data
• Firebase App Check protects our API from unauthorized access
• Passwords are never stored — authentication is handled by Firebase Auth

6 Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (Profile → Settings → Delete Account), we permanently delete:

• Your user profile and all health logs
• Your chat history with Ria
• Your profile photo from storage

Anonymous analytics data (Firebase Analytics) may be retained in aggregated form.

7 Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data (via Profile → Edit Profile)
• Delete your data (via Profile → Settings → Delete Account)
• Export your data — contact us to request a data export
• Opt out of analytics — contact us to disable analytics tracking

8 Children's Privacy

Aura Fit is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
